At 33 years of age Josh is an in-demand pianist, arranger, and educator on the Montreal Jazz scene. He has performed and/or recorded with several world-class jazz musicians including: Pat Labarbara, Kevin Dean, Donny McCaslin, Ingrid Jensen, Walt Weiskopf, Remi Bolduc, Jim Black, Adam Nussbaum, Renee Lee, Annie Sellick, and Judy Silvano. His recent CD release entitled Time and Again (Effendi) was on several top 10 lists for best Jazz album of 2008 including the Ottawa Citizen by Doug Fischer and All about Jazz by John Kelman. Josh is also currently on faculty at McGill university and CEGEP Vanier.
For the past 5 years Josh was the musical director for veteran singer and Montreal stalwart Johnny Scott, performing on Friday and Saturday nights at the House of Jazz. Since Johnny’s retirement Josh has assumed the responsibility as the band leader for the early show and presents a new special guest sitting in with his trio each week.
